In this paper we perform an evaluation on the performance of the Brazilian manufacturing, from 1996 to 2011. We use the Price equation formulation for the decomposition on productivity growth and infer about its relation with the size of firms. The paper is under review.

DOSI, G.; Luna, Ivette; MATHEWS, N.; HADDAD NETTO, E. Y.; SAVIN, I.; YU, X. Productivity, market selection and corporate growth: Comparative evidence from BRIC nations.

In this paper the performance of the BRIC countries is analyzed and evaluated in order to find some sort of similarities of differences (more of this) among countries. Unfortunately, when results are compared, Brazil does not do well. The research is ongoing. The paper was accepted for its presentation at the EMAEE 2017,  10th European Meeting on Applied Evolutionary Economics held in Strasbourg.

Ivette Luna; Elias Youssef Haddad Netto; Paulo Ricardo da Silva Oliveira. Industrial Dynamics of Brazilian Manufacturing: Sectoral Analysis of Persistent Patterns.

In this paper we identify some stylized facts observed (and other specificities ... very peculiar) in the Brazilian manufacturing using non-parametric techniques. The focus is given to the transition matrices on the main variables (productivity, size, growth rates) which allowed us to observe some persistencies characterizing the productive structure. The paper was accepted for presentation at the II ENEI, 2017, to be held in Rio de Janeiro.
